Tickets!

I'm so excited! I received my travel guide, tickets, and cool luggage tags today. It was so fun reading through the itinerary. I'm really looking forward to seeing how all of the different programs are organized (Child Survival Program, Child Sponsorship, Leadership Development) and compare that to what we saw with Compassion Bolivia. One interesting addition to this trip will be the AIDS/HIV intervention component.

Visa

My Visa is here!

Quilt

I finished the top of Tabia's quilt. I like to think of it as the "quilt of many colors". It is a scrappy quilt made from my favorite fabrics. Thank you to Sue for embroidering Tabia's name on it.

Bibs for Babies

I finished applying for my visa and I'm waiting for the paperwork to come back. It won't be long now! 34 days to be exact. : )

I had a wonderful surprise on Sunday. The folks at 1st Baptist Church, Valdez, presented me with 127 baby bibs to take to a Compassion International Child Survival Project in Tanzania. They have been working all winter making bibs, and they are absolutely beautiful! They are every color of the rainbow, with fun patterns and prints on them. I can just imagine the precious babies of Tanzania wearing them. I feel so privileged to be able to give their gift to the workers at the church.
